Youth Big Idea Award
The Youth Big Idea Award is provided to support a new prevention initiative identified by young people for piloting and evaluation.
The 2008 Award was awarded to Center for Smart Youth, Addictus-Philippines Youth Organization, Philippines.
This project will use the prize money to help set up a centre of drug prevention and resistance for the out-of-school children and youth in a drug-infested urban community in Metro-Manila (Tatalon, Quezon City)
The Runners Up Were:
- Youth and Women Empowerment (YAWE) Foundation, Fort Portal, Uganda with their “Youth behavior change communication training and drug abuse awareness project
- Eastern Africa Regional Youth Network, Kenya with their “Dance 254” project.
