Mentor International Prevention Awards 2010

Mentor is pleased to announce the Mentor International Prevention Awards 2010 to be presented by Her Majesty the Queen of Sweden on 14th October 2010 in Washington, DC.

The Awards celebrate promise and achievement in drug abuse prevention globally. Awards are open to all non-government organizations working in the ?eld of drug abuse prevention.

Cash prizes totaling €50,000 will be awarded in three categories: Achievement, Innovation and Youth ‘Big Idea’; recognizing evaluated, promising and youth-led drug prevention initiatives.

The closing date for applications was 18th June 2010.

Achievement Award

The Achievement Award is provided to the organisation whose work illustrates effective practice and has an evaluation to testify to the project’s activity and outcomes.

Innovation Award

The Innovation Award is provided to the organisation whose work indicates significant promise for achieving effective outcomes in preventing drug abuse but which may lack the evaluated evidence.

Youth Big Idea Award

The Youth Big Idea Award is provided to support a new prevention initiative identified by young people for piloting and evaluation.
